# 1.2 Perustiedot seurasta
Mynämäen Pallo-53 ry perustettiin 27.03.1953. Alussa nimi lyhennettiin MyPa-53, mutta

myöhemmin SPL on muuttanut lyhenteen muotoon MynPa-53. Seura on alusta alkaen
keskittynyt jalkapalloon, vaikkakin seurassa on sen historian aikana harrastettu myös pesäpalloa,
\
jääpalloa sekä lentopalloa.
MynPa-53:n tarkoitus on tarjota mynämäkeläisille ja lähialueiden lapsille, nuorille ja
\
aikuisille mahdollisuus harrastaa jalkapalloa (ja futsalia) harrastusmahdollisuus, joko tavoitteellisesti tai
vähemmän tavoitteellisesti turvallisessa ja ohjatussa ympäristössä.
